  • 3-May-2008 - I've experimented with several propagation software packages in the past and have settled on WinCap Wizard. It has become an essential part of my pre-contest planning routine as well as my go to tool for determining when, and on what band, to work the latest DX-pedition.

Wizard successfully and accurately predicted the best time to work Spratly Island 9M6/N1UR from the north east. With a window of about 20-30 minutes, and marginal conditions, Wizard made it possible to be at the right place at the time. - Ken, WB1DX
  • 22-Apr-2008 - Thank you, Jim, for your quick response, and your everlasting friendly service! - Nils, DK8OK
  • 16-Apr-2008 - CD arrived yesterday!..Many thanks :-)..thats probably the fastest package thats ever arrived from the US! - Mark, MW1MDH
  • 10-Apr-2008 - I have run the trial version of GEW, but also ran the QSLware versions of the other software on other machines, I felt that putting some money your way was long overdue!...seriously though, I like the functionality and the simplicity of the interface (especially GEW's no nonsense layout!) - I also like a lot of the advanced features of the software as well - at the end of the day, the software you have written "does what it says on the tin" - Mark, MW1MDH

  • 25-Feb-2008 - I have recently downloaded the KTS Clock, and the WinCap software from your site. I find both of these packages to be an awesome benefit to the HAM Community. WinCAP has more options than I could ever fathom and the clock screensaver is a huge plus compared to the windows screensavers. I use windows vista and it was nice finding a program that installs and works flawlessly with this buggy OS. Keep up the good work!!! - Roger, N6RNN
  • 13-Jan-2008 - I have just found your amazing WinCAP Wizard Software, and am mighty impressed. - Terry, G0TMX
  • 13-Jan-2008 - I've been interested in computerized propagation forecasting ever since I typed in MINIMUF from an article in QST around 1980 into my Commodore PET. I have probably tried out more than 20 different software packages since then, but I have always returned to your products, beginning with CAPMan v.2 in 1995 and I am now on WinCAP v.5.

What makes WinCAP stand out for me, is the ease of asking questions and the clarity of the presentation of the results. This software pack is doing the sorting out job for me and telling me just what I want to know. - Kjell, PB3SM - SM6CPI
  • 01-Jan-2008 - I have the Big Three (WinCAP package) working both on my notebook and the main station computer.

For the record, the systems worked really well for me during the CQWWSSB contest and added a new dimension to the game.  You can quote me on that! - Tom, VE6ZC
  • 30-Dec-2007 - having used your software now for a number of years, I have found it one of the best for the Radio Amateur market. Keep up the good work. - Mark, VK2KLJ
  • 30-Dec-2007 - WinCAP is the best program I have ever used. It is simply a joy to use, even for a dummy like myself. Any serious DX'er should have the program! I don't even try any serious radio work without first looking at the Wizard! - David K0COP
  • 29-Dec-2007 - I have spent a couple of weeks using your software, and am very impressed with how well it works. It was somewhat of steep learning curve, but now I am able to use the program with very limited reference to the manual.

An area of the software that I foresee to be very useful in the future are the contest propagation features. I operate Single Operator All Bands, and the ability to see when to change bands should push up my score considerably. - Stewart Baker G3RXQ
  • 27-Dec-2007 - Your devoted program user and supporter. Best damn RF propagation program for hams, barr none! You can quote me on that! - Norm Urich NU4DO
  • 25-Dec-2007 - YES.......I AM USING MOSTLY WINCAP FOR PREDICTION and mostly the prediction is true. YOU CAN USE MY CALLSIGN FOR THE PUBLICITY YOUR PROGRAM. - LADA OK2PAY
  • 25-Dec-2007 - Just found your need little ID wizard by using google and installed it. Works like a charm. Alot of nice features. - JD KB0VS
  • 24-Dec-2007 - Delay? What delay? Your help and response is first rate.... - Stan K9IUQ
  • 23-Dec-2007 - Oh I love WinCAP wizard, it is running ALL the time. I find it VERY nice. of course you knew that as I had a Trial. I would NOT have spent the $$$$ if I didn't REALLY like the programs. - Stan K9IUQ

Below are comments from previous software versions:

  • Please send the “Wizard”. I Love The Other Software “CAPMan” And It Has Proved Itself More Than What You Say.
  • I have been playing around with Wizard and I think this is the product to blow away the competition.
  • I do appreciate your prompt response and personal support.
  • ...you have a KILLER KISS program... Wizard
  • Wizard RULES :> Great program - so easy and intuitive. It will be so useful as F-layer prop returns to the higher bands and we can all get the heck off 20! Again, tnx for a swell program.
  • Thanks for your outstanding tech support on this unusual set on events. It was the best I have ever experienced and quite different from most of the responses received from most vendors. A tip of my hat and thanks a lot.
  • Just a note to thank you for your prompt service & to congratulate you on a fine product. Looks like I will be erasing others from the hard drive. It's 90 percent easier than the others with all the info needed.
  • As for me & Wizard 2, I've given it a lot more testing with the beacons and general usage varying from rtty contests world wide to stateside schedules choosing frequencies. You're still batting 1000. I'm really amazed at how much you managed to cram into this thing for a very reasonable price.
  • Again, I really like the program. Wizard 2 is a real step forward in practical, easy-to-use propagation prediction for amateur radio. Great job!
  • Use it to prepare my “DXpedition Propagation Forecast” for anything interesting that comes along.
  • My easiest contacts are usually very close to the “highest reliability” times & frequencies.
  • I see CAPMan as an extremely useful product which I use all the time.
  • CAPMan is an integral part of my DX planning activity, and with 100 watts, a vertical, and 270+ confirmed, planning is the name of the game...
  • I've used it for only about a month, but I must say it is quite impressive.
  • I previously used (bleep) which was ok, but CAPMan is my favorite by far.
  • The most useful thing about it (CAPMan) is the graphing ability.
  • CAPMan creates a graph showing propagation from your QTH to another location, then allows you to redraw it about a hundred different ways.
  • The program (CAPMan) is a bit on the expensive side, but I really wouldn't want to be without it. It's that good.
  • Having researched the major ones and visited their Web pages, I have decided to follow the advice of author Dean Straw and try your software because of its supposed ease of use and in anticipation of the upcoming mid-month Heard Island DXpedition.
  • Appreciate the prompt responses!
  • I don't want a refund, and I think you have been more than helpful, I don't know much about your program yet, but I sure can say that your service has been great so far.
  • I think your Wizard program is great. It isn't as elaborate as VOACAP, which I have also tried, but it's a heck of a lot quicker and easier to use. Good work!
  • As a VERY satisfied CAPMan/IonCAP user I would like to add Wizard...
  • I´m very pleased with the propagation software, works to prove my satisfactory.
  • Really appreciate your concern and willingness to jump in and help me sort this out!
  • ... I used CAPMan + other programs to generate the data for the operators on a 24 hour basis...Used correctly and judiciously, the program does work! Enough said!!
  • I have been using your program and think you have done an admirable job!! My Congrats!
  • I have been using CAPMan since it's beginning and have quite a history using your products...
  • ...we perform 'phone-patching' ship-to-shore, so this prediction program could become paramount to on-air success!
  • ...I am 'extolling' the virtues of this program to the Naval Communications system worldwide!!
  • Happy to confirm the sale of a product that meets your brag!
  • I will toss all the other prop programs that I have - at least 4 - Most did some thing well like grey line or beam direction but yours has them all beat and I expect when I truly learn to use it I will really sing your praises.
  • WinCAP is amazingly accurate. I worked Ukraine and Belarus at the time predicted and with the expected SNR with 50 watts into a mobile whip on 20 CW. You can use this as an endorsement if you wish. The software goes from A+ to A++.
  • I am absolutely astounded at the sophistication of your package.  I am looking forward to learning a lot more about HF propagation using CAPMan as a base.
  • CAPMan is a truly professional package.  I'm glad I stumbled across it.  Glad you linked it to WinCAP or I would have missed it.
  • A friend told me about WinCAP. I then read the review of your WinCAP package in CQ for July. I then went to check out WinCAP on your web page and made the mistake of browsing the CAPMan web pages. That did it. I was hooked. I want it.
  • Just received the Wizard 2 software and my congratulations on a fine and valuable tool.
  • Wizard 2 provides just what I was looking for... a straightforward easy-to-learn propagation prediction program from a simple mouse click of the circuit destination. Great job!
  • Wizard 2, I love it -- can't operate without it!!
