WinCAP Wizard is also the result of many years of development. WinCAP Wizard provides two "versions" in a single package. These are a QSL-ware version and a registered version. The QSL-ware version provides full management of point-to point and NCDXF beacon type predictions. The registered version adds two more prediction types, the prediction batch and the coverage analysis, plus several additional features. A 60-day trial of the registered version features is available upon request.

WinCAP Wizard continues our 3rd generation HF propagation prediction engine package and combines enhanced versions of the best features from CAPMan and previous versions.

VOACAP is unquestionably the most powerful HF propagation prediction engine ever created and WinCAP Wizard was developed to exploit those capabilities to the maximum. WinCAP Wizard focuses on use of the VOACAP prediction engine for four "types" of predictions - Point-to-Point, NCDXF/IARU International Beacon Network, Prediction Batch and Coverage Analysis.

In contrast to the single circuit point-to-point type, WinCAP Wizard creates predictions “batches”. Each batch consists of the 18 NCDXF beacon stations as transmitters, or a "prediction batch" with up to 18 user selected targets, and any "station" as the transmitter or receiver. This ability effectively provides simultaneous HF propagation predictions for up to eighteen DX locations around the world. It is expected users will learn to use the VOACAP prediction engine more effectively by comparing predictions to real-time-received signals, from the generally known beacon stations. Charts, report and geographic “views” are provided to enhance the enjoyment and usefulness of the VOACAP prediction engine.

The primary design goals for this software are flexibility and ease of use. You will notice the “prediction views” are independent of each other. This allows simultaneous display of a different “prediction set” in each prediction view.

WinCAP Wizard is organized into three types of display elements: Managers and Browsers. A manager typically provides the ability to add, delete and view items. A browser provides the ability to move through and view items.
