Amateur Bands Specification
The Amateur Band and Contest Band Selection dialog windows allow you to adjust the "range" of frequencies a MUF will be equated to for the purpose of displaying "nearest amateur" or "contest" band. They also allow color adjustment for each of these frequency ranges. Additionally the colors are used to display and easily identify the BUF.

The "Coverage-Analysis View" menu item "Prediction Options" provides a sub-item for specifying "Band Selection Options".
The Amateur Band and Contest Band Selection dialog windows function the same. We encourage you to make adjustments to the frequency ranges used to specify the band designation. Note the frequency is an upper limit type break. For example all predicted MUFs less than the 60M default of 6.5 MHz but greater than the 80M default of 4.5 MHz are labeled as 60M.
If you make changes and do not like them, click the Reset To Originals button to restore frequency ranges and colors.
The specified colors are used to relate MUF frequency to nearest amateur, or contest, band. Additionally the colors are used for the BUF display.
To change the color used to indicate a specific band, click the colored rectangle located to the right side of the band label and frequency limit. The resulting color selection dialog is a rather standard windows dialog and is used through out this software for color selection. You are free to experiment and discover the simple operation of the color selection dialog window.
