How to Prepare a Contest-Plan Prediction Batch
The Contest-Plan is a specialized prediction batch set.
Compatibility Requirements -
For Contest-Plan compatibility, a prediction batch set must be for 5 frequencies and 14 circuits. Additionally, the first 7 "prefix" fields must match the last 7 and be in same order, the first 7 circuits should be for short-great circle and the last 7 long-great circle. In all 14 circuits, the transmit "mode" and "quality" must be the same. The Prefix field identifies each target by the two-character-continent abbreviation where the target is located.
Two pre-configured Prediction-Batch Manager groups - one for CW and another for SSB - are available for use in creating these type prediction views.
Several "system-parameters groups" are provided for use in creating these type prediction views. See the System-Parameters Manager for a look at these pre-configured groups.
So all you need do is:
- Select the frequency set with the "group name" of "Contest Bands" - use the Frequency-Set Browser, or the Circuit-Configuration Manager
- Select the desired prediction batch table - access the Prediction-Batch Manager, click the Switch button and select one of the pre-configured Contest-Plan groups.
- Click the Analyze button - in the Prediction-Batch Manager.
You are, of course, welcome to modify or create your own groups of target and input type parameters - as long as you observe the requirements described above. To get a detailed overview see Tutorial - Prediction Batch.
